JULY 13, 2008: How much relaxation is too much?

I don't think we can get TOO much relaxation. Afterall, that is what we are here for. Normal life consists of juggling school, sports (baseball for Jason & dance/theater for Courtney), work, family time, etc. it is nice to just kick back and have no place to go. Hawaii, and more specifically Kauai, is the perfect place for relaxation. We haven't had much of the tradewinds since we've been here so it has been pretty warm, but today it was great as there was some breeze, sounds of the ocean and the kids played in the pool for a good part of the day. With the vow renewal ceremonies behind us, there weren't any last minute preparations for Grandma & Grandpa to make either, so they could enjoy their first full day of relaxation and sun since arriving on Kauai.

After a great day, Grandma & Grandpa hosted dinner in their room tonight. We had steak and shrimp grilled by Dave and Rhonda made some rice and salad. Just like at home, Grandpa always makes sure there are lots of ice cream flavors to choose from so after dinner and visiting, we had our dessert and headed back to our units to rest up from another "really rough day".
