Relaxation, sun and swimming is pretty much how most of us spent our day. Grandma & Grandpa didn't get to enjoy the sun much as they had some details for the upcoming renewal ceremony to take care of. They were hoping to meet with Pastor Kilborn this afternoon, but he wouldn't be available until tomorrow. They took care of getting the leis ordered for all of us and made contact with the photographer. All of this planning would soon pay off since the ceremonies are in less than 48 hours.
Ryan did a great job swimming today as he found out pretty early that he could stand on the bottom of the 3' level. He didn't seem as particular about getting splashed or getting his head wet either, although he still wasn't big on going under water. It will come. Courtney progressed today a lot too. She is not a huge fan of the deep water but eventually swam over with Tom & Michelle to the deeper end of the pool. Jason is a little fish right now. He bought a swim mask last night at the ABC store (a store that is literally located on every corner here in Hawaii). Court is thinking about getting a swim mask so that she doesn't have to worry so much about her contacts when she is swimming. We might have to check into that tomorrow.
Rhonda and Dave swam a bit, but laid out in the sun and perfected their tans for a while. Everyone really enjoyed just kicking back. Grandma & Grandpa missed that time today but know it is just around the corner that they will be able to relax.
After a BBQ by Chef Dave of hamburgers, potato salad, & chips, we all enjoyed watching the sun go down on the beach followed by some refreshingly cold ice cream.
